Thalius has over 20 years’ experience in the Global Financial Markets with an emphasis on the Asset Management, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, Capital Raising, Emerging Managers, Diverse and Minority Owned Funds, Technology Platforms focusing on high potential growth companies.

Throughout his career, Thalius has established strong relationships globally across 100+ countries including North America, Canada, LATAM, Caribbean offshore, Africa, Europe, UK, Channel Islands, Poland, Hungary, the Nordics, Russia, Middle East, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Australia. Thalius has C-suite relationships across major financial institutions including International Banks, Global Brokerage Firms, Audit and Legal firms. Over the years has developed extensive relationships with Family Offices, Institutional Capital and UHNI in the wealth management arena. Thalius has demonstrated key leadership and business strategy that has delivered significant growth to organizations globally.

Thalius recently launched Hecksher Partners, a Global Fund Solutions and Advisory business providing full C-suite support, Financial Software and Technology Advisory, Global Risk Management Solutions, Global Compliance, Corporate Governance, Outsourced Cloud Support, Outsourced Trading Advice, Active Directorships, and business growth advisory services to companies at various growth stages. Along with route to Market Advisory Services, Corporate Identity, Marketing and Event Advisory. Active engagements to date: Function4, NexGen Cayman Platform, Risk Cap and Multi-family office FoF.

Thalius’ role at Hecksher Partners is to spearhead the global growth and position Hecksher Partners as the trusted central partnership in building and growing multi asset funds across hedge funds and private equity and identifying high potential growth companies with significant client value proposition.

Prior to Hecksher Partners, Thalius was Global Director at Trident Fund Services part of the Trident Trust Group, a 40-year-old privately held company with over 30 offices and 1000 employees globally. Thalius brought Trident Fund Services to front and center in the fund administration business globally, delivered double digit growth per annum, developed and devised the growth strategy, new process and procedure and established new offices as players in the global funds space.

Prior Thalius headed up Apex Fund Services in the capacity of Global Managing Director of Business Development. On joining Apex as a high potential growth company saw the global expansion of 8 offices and sub $10B. AUM to a successful initial PE fund raise, and over a 3-year period growth to over 40 offices and >$40B AUA with an exit in 2017 at 16+ EBIT. We now see the foundation of what created the launch pad for what is now the APEX GROUP, $600B AUA, 3000+ employees and more.

Over the years Thalius has been instrumental in the global funds business. In 2012 Thalius relocated to Florida with his family of 5 and has played a key role in promoting Florida as a state of choice to the world of Finance with the famous headline in the NY Post – “Wall Street Flees NY for Tax Free Florida”. Thalius has appeared on CNBC, FOX Business and has worked with prior Governors of Florida and the Business Development Board of Palm Beach and the Broward Alliance. He serves as South East Regional Director for the Hedge Funds Association. Thalius has been covered and quoted across multiple internationally recognized publications and is a regular speaker at global conferences.

Form 2007-2010 Thalius was Head of European Sales at Linedata driving growth in Europe and into CEE delivering top 3 sales revenue years and opened new markets in CEE. 2002 to 2007 was Sales Director at Thomson Financial running the UK and Ireland Institutional Equities and Retail Wealth Management divisions – £30m revenue (now Thomson Reuters). Thalius had responsibility for spearheading the significant growth in the institutional equities and wealth management for UK and Ireland. Created the BIG three playing field and was recognized in as part of Thomson Financial Presidents club and participated in the Senior Executive “Four Season” program.

FunFacts: once an avid pole vaulter at school, college and senior, won gold at all levels and represented Ireland, loves rugby as a spectator and hopes to see Ireland rugby team achieve great heights once again. Founder of the now largest club in University College Dublin. Ski and Snowboard club.
